We had a great time on our vacation. We stayed on the beach in Siesta Key (the white sand is soft as powder) which is close to Sarasota for those of you not familiar with Florida. Don, and the kids and I all went on a fishing charter and we caught 34 fish that we could keep(mainly gray and silver snapper). We did catch some red grouper but they weren't quite big enough to keep. We also went to Myakka River State Park. While we were there we took an airboat ride and caught a glimpse of several alligators and walked a couple of trails. On the trails, we saw some armadillos and white tail deer. We were trying to spot wild boar as we drove through the park but we didn't have any luck. The park is full of cypress trees and other trees common to FL so it made for some awesome pics. Speaking of pics, no family vacation would be complete without a family portrait on the beach. Here is a sneek peek of those. We are already looking forward to going back to Siesta Key next year.
LOVE LOVE the photos! They're soooo good! I didn't realize Anna was joining you. How fun! So glad you are back...It was torture thinking about you on those white sandy beaches, Ha! Hope to see you soon-- otherwise Labor Day is just around the corner! We all need to chat about our "plan" for the weekend...Food, too.. Are we just going out to eat or going to try to take some food? Everyone on their own? Oh, & are the boys going??? :-) Love you!
